Turn a beloved cookie hobby into a real, recognizable business — warm and homemade on the surface, professional and repeatable underneath.

Made by Liz started with something simple: a stay-at-home mom who loved baking cookies. What began as a creative hobby quickly started gaining attention from friends, family, and local customers — the product was incredible, and word was traveling fast.

But the business itself was still just a name and a phone number. No identity, no system, no professional presence to back up the cookies coming out of her kitchen. That's where Patchwork Creative came in.

Liz had the talent, the passion, and the product people loved. But like most handmade businesses in the beginning stages, she was starting from scratch.

She needed a recognizable brand identity. Professional visuals. Customer retention tools. Branded materials for orders and markets. Social media assets that actually looked cohesive instead of pieced together.

Most importantly, she needed branding that transformed her baking from “someone's mom who makes cookies” into a real business customers could trust, remember, and reorder from.

The solution

We built Made by Liz a full foundational brand system designed to feel warm, welcoming, homemade, professional, and memorable — all at once.

The visual language pulls directly from her product: a soft pastel palette of sky blue, bubblegum pink, and warm cream that reads like the icing on a sugar cookie. A playful hand-lettered script wordmark for “Liz” paired with a clean small-caps “Made By” — friendly, but designed. A circular submark shaped like a cookie with a bite taken out of it, instantly recognizable on packaging, social, and signage.

Around that core we built a full kit: a primary logo, sub logo, Facebook banner and profile system, a suite of social media templates, branded business cards (front and back, with a QR straight to her socials), loyalty cards to drive repeat orders, and a branded order form to make every customer interaction feel intentional.

With a cohesive brand and a real customer-experience system in place, Made by Liz quickly grew into a booked-out business. Instead of looking like “someone who bakes cookies,” the business now looked established, trustworthy, and memorable — pulling in new customers and turning first-time orders into repeat ones.

The loyalty cards keep customers coming back. The business cards turn every market table and porch pickup into marketing. The social templates mean she never has to start from a blank canvas to post. The brand finally matches the product.
